Medior/Senior Test Automation Engineer

To support our growth, we are looking for a passionate Test Automation Engineer for all our Cloud Applications within our R&D team in Mechelen.

You help develop all our Cloud applications and this from a test automation perspective. Your task consists of devising and designing functional tests, but also their implementation within the test framework. This framework is in full expansion and your contribution is key to the success of our products.

You will be part of the R&D department, which is divided into smaller teams. Each team works in an agile environment using the Scrum methodology. Team members are ambivalent and can independently improve our products, propose solutions, implement and write test scripts. 

As a developer, you have a passion for Web development, Micro Web Services, REST APIs and Linux, using the latest methodologies and technologies such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML5, Golang, CI/CD, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker and related technologies.

You have a positive attitude and are willing to work closely with other team members to continuously improve our products, with a strong focus on simplicity and technological innovation.

You have a broad knowledge of IT and enjoy working in an environment where people strive for continuous innovation.

Requirements

  • Master or bachelor in computer science (or equivalent through experience).

  • Good understanding and general knowledge of software testing and software testing tools such as Selenium.

  • Knowledge of Web frameworks (Ruby on Rails), CSS, JavaScript and related technologies..

  • Knowledge of Micro Web Services and REST

  • Experience with SCM (Git) and an IDE of your choice.

  • Knowledge of Ruby, Python, Go and similar languages.

  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift) is an asset.

  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
